Summer Reminders

In case you might have forgotten, we just wanted to remind you of what the summer is like here in the Arctic, particularly the the amount of sunlight that we have! As of today, sunrise is at about 6am and sunset is at about 11:45pm. But, remember that even though the sun sets at 11:45pm, that doesn't mean it gets dark at 11:45pm. It doesn't actually get dark until about 1:30 in the morning. According to Weather Underground (which is one of the weather services we rely on), we have 21 hours and 6 minutes of visible light today. But, tomorrow will be 8 minutes shorter.

The sky at about 11:30pm

This is how we can sleep when it's still so light outside

Even though we have already experienced the summer months one time, it is still pretty wild to come back and see it again!
