Fishing

Summer time is definitely one of the best parts of living in the Arctic. It is nice and sunny, and we get that sun until midnight or later. So, when we go out fishing we can stay out as long as we want and not have to worry about daylight! We went out fishing on one of those beautiful summer afternoons/evenings with our good friends Lance and Charlotte. We explored many of the sloughs and tributaries of the Noatak River, and got to see some beautiful scenery. The great thing about being in Alaska is that so much of what we see when we are out seems so untouched, which makes it feel like we are seeing and doing something really special.

Although we didn't come home with any fish, we still had a great time. Our freezer is pretty full of salmon and ducks from other trips that Michael and Lance have been on, so it was probably for the best!
